2011 - Present
2011: The Management Committee of the Mozarteum of Santa Fe (Argentina) - subsidiary of Salzburg - unanimously decides to grant him the "MOZART JUBILEE THIRD MILLENNIUM PRIZE FOR ARTISTIC MERIT" for his professional prestige and renowned artistic undertakings in the interests of culture.
2012: Conducts the RTVE Symphony Orchestra in an extraordinary concert in celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the Spanish National Radio (RNE).
The Celibidache Foundation organised the “Celibidache Festival 100” in Bucharest on 3rd May to 7th July, in celebration of the centenary of his birth. The Master Classes were commended to Maestro García Asensio. On 1st July he conducted a concert with the Philharmonic Orchestra “George Enescu” as part of the Festival in Bucharest.
In the Town Council of Valencia, it is approved unanimously to grant the naming of “HONORARY CITIZEN” of the city, and the award is presented on 5th October in a solemn act that was held in the Plenary Hall of the Town Council.
On 30th October, the Town Council of Valencia places a commemorative plaque on the building where Maestro García Asensio was born, located in the Gran Vía de Germanías, number 5, and with the presence of the Town Councillor of Culture, her Excellency Mrs. María Irene Beneyto.
The City Council of Las Rozas de Madrid (Madrid), gives its name to a street in the Municipality in an area where there are several streets named after famous musicians who reside or resided in the aforementioned Municipality.
The towns of Viver (Castellón, Valencian Community) and Dos Hermanas (Seville, Andalusia Community) have also dedicated streets to Maestro Enrique García Asensio.
2023.- The Unió Musical Society of Lliria (Valencia) created an annual Distinction called "MÚSICA NOVA" to annually award the most outstanding musician of the Valencian Community and, in its first edition, it has been awarded to the Master Enrique García Asensio at the General Meeting held on September 2 of this year.
2024.- The Valencia Orchestra appointed him Honorary Conductor at a concert held at the Palau de la Música on September 13th, in recognition of his role as Principal Conductor from 1964 to 1966 and, subsequently, for 31 years as Principal Guest Conductor.
2025.- On the occasion of the anniversaries of the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and Choir (OSCRTVE) —60 and 75 years respectively— RTVE awarded Maestro García Asensio the title of Honorary Conductor, acknowledging him as the person who has served the longest as Principal Conductor, in two separate terms, for a total of 21 years.
